Fuzzys - The best little music house on the planet
by Dessie Branyon on Though superficially, Boulevard3 is another typical club, there are plenty of minor details that set it apart in unexpected ways. Immediately at the door, we were greeted (literally) and treated very civilly - which is unusual for me as a guy. Normally, bouncers muscle you around and treat you like dirt. Here, the host even complimented us on our attire. That's a first! Ladies, unfortunately, no matter how much cleavage you show, you will have to pay cover, just like the rest of us mere mortals. The $20 cover goes to the free Chocolate dipped strawberries and carne asada tacos - which DEFINITELY hit the spot near the end of the night. The music was good, and the dancers were actually performers on a stage above the bar. Drinks cost what you would expect them to (too much) and the crowd was generally unpretentious and enjoying themselves. All in all, a great venue.
by Sarah H. on Oh, Le Cercle. You have been there for me through the ups and the downs, the good and the bad, the drunk times and the sober times. This is the usual place to go for "ladies night" with my girlfriends and we have built a good relationship with the people there. Unfortunately, the crowd lately has been getting younger and younger. Don't get me wrong, I'm not some old cougar on the prowl for fresh meat (I'm only 24) but I'm not too keen on talking to a table full of fresh 21 year old kids who look like they're 12. I guess that's what happens when it's the summer. But yeah, the girls and I have decided to take a break from LC and to venture out to other places. If you've never been to a booking club, I recommend coming here since the waiters are not as aggressive and you can still have a good time with or without getting booked.
by Lanelle Tesoriero on Ok, so my girlfriends and I came here on Sat to watch the Hollywood Men show... afterwards we stuck around for the regular club night (since we were there already) It took forever to get a drink and the bar was empty. The drinks were weak! I didn't catch the slightest buzz after 3 drinks and I can vouch that I'm a lightweight! I bought a round of drinks at the bar and my friend left a cash tip since she still had a bunch of single dollar bills she didn't use for the show. I specifically wrote CASH on the tip line of the bill and signed. I just checked my bank account and they decided to add tip to my bill! It was only $5, but that was $5 they can't just claim because they want to! Needless to say I'm disputing it with my bank! I had an ok time because I was with friends and we talked about the show most of the night, but I wouldn't go here again. Not for the horrible music or weak drinks! Not even without the $5 mishap!!
