Remember your bubblin' fun bath days with Mr. Bubble, the big pink bubble from the 70's and 80's. I can still remember the Barbie pink packaging and the funky fresh smell. Their slogan "Makes Getting Clean Almost as Much Fun as Getting Dirty!" used to make me hee-hee like a little school girl. Funny thing is I still do, but now it is because of my I-find-something-sexual-in-everything attitude. While I couldn't bathe in the bubbles here, there was enough drinkable ones to make a grown woman cry. I came here with a few girlfriends to celebrate a friend's engagement and we scarfed down three bottles of very pricey champagne. We nearly had a communal orgasm as we ate the mini-potato sliders and a huge platter of impressive cheeses. Thank god the couches and chairs were super plush and cushy because we were all weak in the knees after experiencing such deliciousness. After we regained our strength, we decided to head downstairs to burn off some of those cheesy calories. The dance floor was packed and hot, sort of like my Grandmother's basement in July. I think the ceiling was about her height too. Thank God, they did not play House of Pain's Jump Around, or I am sure a couple of guys and a handful of Amazons like me, would have suffered blunt head trauma. Although, I was sweating like a 400 pound man walking the back swamps of Louisiana on a hot and humid August day, I was having a blast! I loved the Bubble Lounge and would definitely return. Now, off to spend some time with the cleanest and most suave guy of the night, Mr. Bubble.

I was just there this Sat (Aug 1st) and it was definitely not a place I would like to return in the future. I went to the Starlight Room, because of a friend's b-day party. I love the friend's crowd and the view. (The view is amazing... for the view only I would give five starts, but...) However, everything else was just not for me. First, the dance floor is very small. Second, the average age of the dance floor was 50+.... I am a dancer and it is nearly impossible for me not to dance, but this night, I didn't even move my feet... Third, I hated the crowd... for me there was no class and was not for young people. I have no problem going to older crowd, but this crowd really gave me uncomfortable atmosphere. I saw few couples making out when some people were still dining. It was just NO NO NO for me. The view was great, but it was pretty much it. (I checked Rateclub before going to this place, and low ratings I saw pretty much said the right things.)
