by Lowell Serum on I passed on going down the slide since word made it to the top of the members of our party that had bailed at the bottom. Cute gimmick though, it reminded me of clubs in Manhattan and I like the speak easy lore, but after getting into the venue everything else is a little anticlimactic. The place was crowded and there was no place to sit down unless you were ready to spring for bottle service starting at $260. The music was just OK and it is a drag when the dance floor backs right up to the bar. So we had one drink and left. The best things that can be said about Slide is that the doorman was very professional and the interior decor is above average.
by Ellie L. on I was skeptical, especially after i had to fork over 20 bucks, but i had a blast in spite of the price tag. plays your average club anthems, with a good space for dancing and a few bars to keep the drinks flowing; apparently the room off to the side is a private party, which i didn't discover until i walked out and some friends were all: "huh? how'd YOU get in there?" i guess i snuck by, but it didn't seem that much cooler than the main room, so don't worry about missing out if you just stick to the regular area.
