One Midtown Kitchen was great! I went on a Friday night, definitely be sure to make a reservation. We headed straight for the bar first, I had a One Martini - vodka, champagne, simple syrup, lemon juice, and frozen grapes as a granish - the perfect martini, not too sweet and just strong enough! Dinner was great, however I was a little bummed with our table, we were in the middle of the restaurant and I could basically lean over and touch the table next to us. But the food is great- we had grilled canteloupe with prosciutto and balsamic vinagrette. For dinner I had cod, with grilled veggies and asparagus. For drinks we split a bottle of savignon blanc - I did like the wine tier they offered. We ordered from the $20 section and the wine was delicious! If you're looking to be "over-served", keep in my mind that they do bottomless wine for like $25! And be sure to bring your Summer Swag coupon with you- http://www.concentrics... Overall- wonderful date night!

Walking into Mi Tacos, you would think that it was a nightclub more than a restaurant with the crazy loud music blaring. While there was no crazy bouncer checking IDs at the door, there was a sweet lady taking orders from all the customers there... She even laughed with me as I tried to speak some broken Spanish... Here was how I started my day: [1] Taco de Lengua [1] Taco de Carnitas [1] Piña Agua Lemme just start by saying that this agua was amazing! It was no mix... The stringy pineapple and great flavor really made this drink. Really unlike anything else here that I have had... Good intro, let's see if they can follow through. The lengua taco was good... While the tongue flavor was nice, the overall taco was overpowered by an abundance of onions, and dry tortillas. Unfortunate... The tortillas really make a huge difference. The carnitas was the same. The pork was crispy on the edges, while maintaining a great texture and flavor on the inside. It was a nice chunky cut, but again, the meat was overpowered by the onion madness that covered the meat in the dry tortillas. At $1.50/taco, you can find better overall, but it's really sad since the meat was so tasty... Off to the next nightclub... er taqueria...
