Asians get no love. Came with a huge group to have fun on Oct. 30th. Biggest problem: the DJ. No songs were particularly well mixed or good and none lasted more than 2 minutes before he started shouting, "Latinos in the house make some noise ..." or "Brooklyn in the house make some noise ..." He goes on and on and on. People just want to dance and enjoy themselves! But he was like a Nazi ordering everyone to shout because he wanted us to. And while he shouted out to every race group, White, Black, Latino ... he purposely missed Asian, and a huge group of us were there to spend money and to try to have a good time. Thanks for ruining it, bub. One guy commented that he'd been to clubs where he was the only white guy and the DJ was nice and included everyone. This DJ was the worst ever! We didn't stay more than an hour before we happily left, never to return.

I've been going here for what seems like forever. Long ago, this ridiculously enormous night club'esque lounge wasn't as spacious. The bottom floor of hwood was a later addition to the popular hangout. Dare I say it, I wish they never opened up the lower area. They let in far too many people. The flow of people is convoluted where as all traffic is forced to go through a congested dance floor where ALL the bottle service is located. God forbid there is some sort of emergency, this would not be a happy situation. In other areas of this place, the ambiance is great. The decor of this lounge is really interesting. Being a designer, it's really cool to look at the details in every corner of the HUGE club. Since it's so huge, there are lots of spaces for details. Oddly, there are weird spaces closed off with make-shift overturned couches--- really creeps me out. Also, seeing how the place is so goddamn big, you'd think that there would be more than ONE way to get to the other side of the club: NOPE. Or, you'd think that there would be some more restrooms: NOPE. might want to check the fire code on this one, guys. bottom line, on slower nights, this place is awesome. lots to look at, great service great music. on crazy nights... just stay away.

Best DJ bar in all of NYC. HANDS DOWN. The music pulls you up by the back of your neck and forces you to gyrate and move your body in ways you never thought possible. Its tiny. Gets packed as the previously reviewed Son Cubano does. But its better. WAY BETTER. The bartenders are easy to befriend and the door guy doesn't take his job so effin seriously as most door bouncers do. There's a very mixed crowd and everyone's there for a good time. Come to Salon Bobby's as my close friend like to call it.
