Being from the westcoast, I hear Tao, and i think of the Tao nightclub at the Venetian in Las Vegas. Apparently part of the same chain however is this awesome asian-fusion restaurant! They definitely maintain the same extravagant and beautiful decor as the nightclub. The large Buddha at the back of the restaurant is so amazing, if I had a house that big I would totally use this restaurant as inspiration. On to the food though, all our dishes were really good except the vegetable dumplings we got for appetizer. The filling on those had a really unpleasant flavor (I cannot exactly pinpoint which spice they used that produced that flavor). Besides that, my friend and I really enjoyed the dishes we ordered and the server was nice enough to rush the food since we had a show to catch.

I AM REVIEWING THE BONGO DECK. The Bongo Deck is the outdoor seating in a more casual, live band setting. I hear the classy in-hull Moshulu restaurant is a bit more expensive. The Bongo deck is fun and the view/eating-on-a-boat thing can't be found anywhere else in Ben's city. Tons of fish on the menu. I think this is a great place to come to take people to impress, but I'm never impressed with the food. Start with Bongo California Roll "Spicy Lump Crabmeat, Avocado & Asian Vegetable Salad", then your best bet (although so not cool anymore) is the Kobe Beef Burger "Smoked Mozzarella, Caramelized Onion, Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato." Skip dessert. DEATH WARNING: I once ordered pork here and when I cut into it I mistook it for tuna tartare. When I told the waiter I think I have tuna he gasped. No. It was the pork. Red and seared. He immediately asked if the death meal had touched my mouth then removed all my utensil and the plate like a scene from the Hot Zone. I was then presented with a free dessert for my near-death/sue-for-a-million experience.
