The place hasn't changed a bit and thats a good thing (well, except for the bathrooms..they used to look like an 80s crack house). This place is for all the old school hip-hop and reggae lovers out there. I already knew the deal about it getting crowded and whatever, but who cares? Go for the good music you're gonna hear and the cheap drinks @ the bar.
by Mira Rigsby on One star for the friendly staff. One star because I got an invite. And one star because I love the damn tree in the middle of the room (and we all know I love indoor planted trees... see MacArthur Park). It pretty much ended there. Music was mediocre at best. I know it's a pre-opening party but I felt like the only non-anorexic girl in a room full of the girls that were always too cool for school. Except now they're all grown up, carrying glasses of Pinot Grigio and $3k handbags, and trying their best to look bored. I may go back if invited by someone with table reservations, or maybe on a week day after the hype has died down, but for now I'll be posing for the photogs elsewhere. Especially with Redwood, Slide & Bourbon in the vicinity.
