Oh my goodness, we had the WORST bartender. His name? Drew. I see that another reviewer had a very similar experience. He was really snappy, stared at us like we were total idiots as we made our drink selections. When we asked if there were any specials, a drink/beer list.. without a word, he dumbly lifted his arm and pointed over to the table to the far back of us that had a small list. Even for those of us who knew was we wanted right away he gave the bored/uninterested stare, kind of rolled his eyes and dragged his dumb legs over to go make our drinks. I had a taste of their jalapeno pineapple margarita quite some time ago and was eager to go back and try it again. It was delicious but I was pretty sour about the way my friends and I were treated. The drinks were great and I love NatMac's atmosphere but this guy completely ruined our experience. We all got one drink and left to go to Rotten Ralph's where we were sure there wouldn't be a snobby bartender in site.

The best mid-sized venue to see live music in SF.  Key points: Beautiful facility.  Elegant, turn of the century style opera house that's been well kept. The stage isn't too high, so when you're up close, you get a fantastic view of the performance.  Not so great for those under 5'5" and you happen to be standing toward the rear.  But then there is the balcony which gives you the best view. Great acoustics that can backfire.  Meaning, a band can sound great with the right sound guy, which is usually the case here.  However, multiple loud mouth dumb asses who will not STFU during a bands performance can ruin an evening because their conversations will overpower the band's sound during softer passages or softer songs. Never tried the food, but the fries smell great. Tables service both upstairs and downstairs!  If you choose to fetch your own drink the bartenders move quickly.  Nice beer selection and the prices are very reasonable.  Parking ain't bad either, unless it's Friday or Saturday night. They need more metal shows here.
