by Jana S. on i live but a few blocks from Johnny Brendas and have gone there several times. i want to love it, b/c it is local and gets great music acts. however i cannot b/c of a few key things: 1. the beer on tap is ALWAYS flat. always. no matter which you choose. 2. the service is mediocre at best and sometimes downright lousy. 3. the menu is fairly stagnant & overpriced for what you get. JB's is a gastropub only in their own mind. 4. try the wine? sure, if you want to pay No. Libs prices for plonk. 5. desert is where things can get really ugly. their pecan pie looks & tastes like it came from a vending machine. on the plus side, they make a truly great cheese burger and will cook it to order (including very rare). their felafel and hummus are also quite good. i recommend only going there for live music and a burger. but plan on drinking beer elsewhere.
by hitman on I was there once and was not impressed. The girls were rude and the only one that even talked to me was the girl tending bar. If I could give them less than 1 star I would, I wont be going back.
by Kristen F. on Just doesn't fit in Boston... or the planet! $20 bucks at the door gets you: - Entrance to a room draped with sheer white curtains and private areas where god only know what goes on -The right to max out your credit card for a round of drinks - Risk of a seizure from the tacky strobe lights - A room full of foreign dude bro's that rub their sweaty body's all over any girl with a pulse, as they try to find rhythm to the horrible techno Why do places like this exist? Next time you hear that this place is actually good, consider it to be just what it's called: A Rumor!
by Bar Man on I also have been here a few times. They seem to only have 3 dancers and I would rate them all under 5.... The same 3 girl every night of the week. They are being watched by LE very closely.. The girls act like they don't really want to be there. Table dance was very bad, so i tried the private dance to see if it would be any better. But it turned out to be another waste of monsy. The girl kept trying to leave before my time was up. So until they get some new girls, don't think I will be going back.
by BOBBY on Been to this place a few times. The town is trying to close them down, so there is alot of LE around both plain clothes and uniformed officers. Just be careful when visiting.
