This review is based solo on the Stompy Sunset party this past Sunday. Stompy Sunset is a nice house party. The audience is very diverse, as is SF, so it really reflects the city. When the weather is nice (as it was yesterday) this is the perfect hang out spot on Sunday the day before a holiday. Good music, cheap drinks and great audience. Definitely not my last time to go here.

This place is big. And I like big clubs where you can lose those weird guys who thinks the idea of approaching a girl is leg humping her on the dance floor. We usually get in free and quick because our friend promotes this place. But if not, the line does look LONG & I think entrance will be the typical $15-$20. So, I think for someone's first time, it is worth to pay and just check out. More than that, I think it is better just to get there early and go through the guestlist. The lower level decor is OK, the upper level is better. It is decked out with white couches and 2 small bars. You can just people watch from upstairs. Also, there is a restroom that is far less crowded than the ones downstairs. The lower level decor is whatever. I think it is hard to notice the decor since it is always packed. The outdoor patio is nice. I like it since there is plenty of places to just stand or sit with heat lamps. But watch out for the bar outdoors, I think they take it upon themselves to add tip for you. Ridiculous. The music is OK whether it is House/Trance or HipHop.
