by edison c. on I don't know why I like the East Side Show Room so much. I've only been there once, early on New Years' Eve. I shared a single pricey Peche-like cocktail and it was ok. I had no food, and didn't sit at a table. The Show Room is poorly designed for a group of any size to mill about at the bar, if a group wanted to. Maybe when the joint is packed, it sucks? But it looks really cool. Almost steampunky. I dig it. Nice touch on the folding screen that somebody in this here bar town finally decided would be a good idea, blocking the guys standing at the urinal who would otherwise be in full view every time the men's restroom door opens. They were also playing some kind of silent film? on a screen up in one of the corners of the bar, and hallelujah, no major sporting event on any flatscreens to be found. Since I'm not a guy who typically pays for ambiance, good job East Side. I'd take a date here for beverages, for sure. If you had misters in the back on your patio, you'd get the coveted Edison 5-star.... and for just a watering hole. Inconceivable!

Why do people that come here dress like tourists from middle America in Vegas or at Disneyland? Why do they act like straight out of nasty fat people beer commercial? Please go away from my sight this nasty nasty bar.
