Came here for dinner last night. it's a "fancier" (i use that term loosely) Mexican restaurant. the decor is a mix between goth and typical Mexican cluttered flair. there are coffered ceilings made up of sombrero hats and framed portraits along the perimeter of the ceiling. all their drinks are tequila based hence the name "margarita cantina." i got the velvet chingon, which was basic and very strong. just to my liking. the salsa and bean dip with chips were really good. the beans were my fave. for my entree, i had the shrimp scampi and tequila shrimp bisque. the soup was creamy and thick, a little on the fishy side but overall satisfying. my shrimp scampi was surprisingly delicious. the mild sauce w/ the sour capers really complemented the shrimp. you really get what you pay for. they seemed pretty busy on a Sunday evening. we weren't immediately greeted by the host when we first walked in cuz he was on the phone w/ his "boss." our waiter was nice but he forgot our ahi tuna ceviche. we were really looking fwd to it. in the end, it was all good cuz after i canceled it, he came by our table w/ a round of pink tequila shots. not the best tasting but it had alcohol and it was a nice gesture. =) this place is cool to take a date or hang out w/ some friends for drinks, but it wouldn't be my first choice if i was craving Mexican food.

So I been out of the loop in NYC (my hometown) for about 2 years....moved to LA for about 2 years (dont ask..LOL), I went to Greenhouse this past Saturday night and had the time of my life! The energy that filled the room was unreal! My whole body got goosebumps....the staff was involved in making the party amazing and the MUSIC was off the hook! Every little detail was on point and perfect! it just goes to show you how alive NYC is opposed to any other city,,,Loved everything about this club! Well done! This is a place i will be going back to!
