one and a half stars.. Bowling: I am not a regular bowler, but I have been to some of the other bowling places around manhattan, this this place definitely ranks the lowest in terms of the quality of the facilities, uneven lanes, used/dented bowling balls and the scoring machine barely functioned and oh, 1/5 times when the pins were reset, one or more of the pins would be down and we would have to "reset" again, which would mess us the scoring (due to the funny score keeping machine". Sooooo if you like to bowl, this isn't that place for you. That being said, if you just want a relaxed time and don't care if the balls kit the pin, this place is pretty okay. Food: The menus (we had 2) were both gross and sticky. We hit the service button and waited about 20 mins for service. When no one came, we went around the lanes looking to flag down a wait staff. Once we did, she was fine and gave good service. The food however, we really really bad.. I wouldn't order any thing from them again.. drinks were okay but all we had was beer which is pretty hard to mess up I suppose... All it all, the location is great, love the unpretentious atmosphere (1.5 stars), but probably wouldn't go back due to the state of the bowling facilities and the service/food issues we experienced.

Went here a few times for a monthly Caribbean event, Dirty Sexy Soca. As a West Indian, sometimes you go to parties and different clubs and don't get enough soca in the mix, so fete party is a great soca fix. The dj knows what he is doing, the mixes are great (songs from back in the day to the present). The crowd is pretty good too. I'm tired of young, immature girls always creating bad vibes. When I've gone, it's been pure pleasure, everyone having a good time, no issues or ignorance. The guys know how to handle a wine and give one. Also, for females, if you get there before 1230 and are on the guest list, it's free! The drinks at SOB's are like heaven, my fave is the "la binia" (think that's how its spelled). All in all, a great night for dancing and a strong Caribbean crowd that knows how to do it right.

It was a Halloween Night and I had no plans. A couple of friends and I decided to hit up DNA Lounge. None of us had been there before so we wanted to give it a try. We got there at 10pm and the line was ridiculous. The line moved pretty quick and we got in at 1045pm. The cover charge was $10 and most of us were happy since we are used to paying $20 for a club cover charge. The DJS were exceptional. The mixes they dolled out were impressive. The had the Thriller background music mixed into a No Doubt song. There was non stop dancing for 4 hours. The bartenders were pretty cool. The prices were not too expensive. The disappointment was the club ran out of Jack Daniels at around midnight and we were stuck drinking Jim Bean. Overall, I had a fun time. Music was great and so were the people. There were no fights which I'm used to in San Jose.
