by Grant E. on I used to stay at the St. Regis hotel before I moved to NYC. It is a nice bar, slightly overpriced...but it is a must due for the wealthy in the area. It's a power spot for the Rich Old (50+) Men (the Young Rich Men (49-) are at the Pennisula accross the street) that go for your younger women (45 - 55). As a 30 year old...not my spot. The Bartenders are extremely nice and helpful. The waiters are the most obnoxious jerks I have ever seen. Every time I go there, the fat waiters push people around and tell you not to stand in certain spots. The waiters dropped this bar from 4 stars to 3 stars for me. Oh, and the old king is farting in the picture.

Awesome drinks, great servers, amazing bartenders, and the lovely Katie, ever so gracefully kicking out the jams on her ivory keys...this place is what a cocktail bar should be. Bring your pipes and sing a tune or just bring you liver and make a friend. Either way, this is one of my favorite bars.
