by Tim C. on One of the best meals I have had in the Boston area. Food, quality, presentation above excellent . We ate at the bar and the the bartender from Ireland was professional along with his service being excellent. The facility was spotless. Plenty of parking. Would highly recommend. If there was one downfall to the evening, it would be the manager was not very friendly. May have been a bad night. I plan to return many times.
by Mariel Lafranca on During my south eastern US road trip in the fall of 2001, my friend and I stayed here. There were about 4 or 5 bunk beds in one large room for the girls. While my friend and I were here, there were only 2 other women in the room with us. The beds were wooden and not very spacious with head room on the bottom bunks. The bathroom was very quaint and clean-- for one person at a time; it was a general old-fashioned bathroom as opposed to communal (like you'd find in a college campus or some other hostels). Overall, AIH had a cozy feel. Downstairs was always bustling with travelers from all over the world. The kitchen was clean and communal, as was the family room. This place really presented an old world charm... several board games were available, as was a TV and a side room with a parrot or two in it.
