80s night is awesome, and dollar well before 10 just seals the deal. Plenty of space to move here, and some seriously committed people come out, dressed up as 80s as can be! I'm going next week with a jean jacket and aviators.

Haven't done the bar excursion at this place, yet. Had dinner here twice, and was really good. Tad pricey for Mexican, but it's tasty. $5 margs are strong and uh, strong. Very interesting music selection, think 1950-90 covers of top 40, translated into Spanish. Loungey enough to make me want to nap in the velvety booths while getting hand massages. Not an all-nighter type of place. Plan to start here or end here and you'll do fine.

Somehow, WH seems to attract all the most annoying sorts of people, despite its fairly excellent repertoire of artists and DJs. The venue lacks ambiance, the staff are rude and low class, the lines are horrendous -- and once you get inside, it's another 15 minutes of body slamming before you reach the true entrance. The vast majority of those who go are, simply put, ghetto. Or underage. Both of which annoy me greatly. I won tickets to see Sasha here and while that drew out a few cool fellow electronica-philes, the thuglike majority massively dominated. I could not fucking dance - not because it was too crowded - but because short, unnappealing men kept standing a 1/4" behind me, attempting to convey sexual interest. Look bitches, I'm trying to fucking dance. I am not here to pick up, or be picked up, let alone by someone a full head or more shorter (I swear to god 2/3 of the men were shorter than I, and I'm only 5'5", and was not wearing heels). Several men also groped me, other men followed me around, or attempted pathetic light shows; between them and the chain smokers constantly lighting up, it was impossible to simply enjoy my night. The other night that I briefly checked out was 'ladies' night' (every thursday) which within 2 seconds, I quickly realized would have been all that was bad from the other night, multiplied by a factor of a thousand, and without any good music to redeem it. And yet, I would still cut off a body part to see Tegan and Sara here on Nov 19th. *sob*
