I came here for a PA Bar Association networking event, so I didn't get the full picture but I did get some definite impressions: - You get to walk down to enter, which is cool, and they have a bunch of flatscreens, which is also cool, but not cool enough to make up for... - No good beers on tap - Mediocre food - ... and judging by the hotness of the servers, I suspect this place turns real douche-y, real quick at night.

Saw a great band at this place STIFF. They were one of the best bar bands I have seen in ages! Correction - they ARE THE best bar band I have seen ever. They are all kind of hot - but that bass player mmmmmmm delicious! He just does something to me. Too bad I hear he is happily married. I can still look and fanta--- wait back to Glass's great place. Will definitely be back especially when STIFF is playing.

Along with Cafe du Nord, the Great American Music Hall ranks as one of my favorite music venues. My husband and I are cheap skates, but we save up for special concerts and we save up so that we can order dinner tickets.  To us, it's worth.  You get a really good meal (good restaurant quality) and seating upstairs. My husband is a chef so if he's OK with the meal and willing to fork out extra money for the meal and a show, then, it's an excellent deal. It's date night! For good drinks, the wait person suggested two from the list of Modern Cocktails: The Tequila Cosmo - La Pinta 100% blue Agave pomegranate infused tequila, Cointreau, fresh lime and premium sours, shaken and served in a martini glass with a lime wedge. One of the "Music Hall" drinks -- I forget which. It might be the Music Hall Apple Martini - Ketel One Citroen, Bols Sour Apple Liquor and a splash of pineapple juice shaken and served in a martini glass. I had the Tequila Cosmo and it was absolutely to die for.  It costs $10.00, but I almost got another one!  Actually, it was so good, I gave the person who suggested it a $5 tip. If you get dinner tickets, you get the Preferred Dinner (which comes with a side salad and bread). We always get the Grilled Marinated Skirt Steak - garlic roasted red potatoes, "frizzled" onions and chimichurri sauce.  I love the steak and potatoes.  I was lukewarm about the onions though.  They tasted old. You could also get the other entrees: Vegan Rice Noodles with Crispy Tofu - steamed vegetables and coconut milk, Thai curry peanut sauce. Braised Chicken Breast - ginger-lemongrass broth, sriracha infused rice, and wok seared baby bok choy. Come to think of it, we got some of the bok choy in our meal too. We saw Roky Erickson last night.  We're going again tonight.  A great show.  Great food.  It makes my little nervous life worth living. ************************************************** *********************** 10/31/07  I tried the Music Hall Apple Martini and I didn't like it as much as the Tequila Cosmo.  The Music Hall Apple Martini had a stronger alcohol taste like a real martini (with two olives and all--Not my personal preference, but it might suit others a lot. ************************************************** *********************** 11/1/07 I finally figured out that I got the second drink wrong -- it was probably The Great American Music Hall Lemonade that was supposed to be one of the best drinks.  It has Stoli Razberi, cointreau, fresh squeezed lemon and lime and premium sours with a splash of cranberry juice served on the rocks with a lemon wedge.  Now, that sounds more like it.
