Hands down the best Karaoke Spot in SF!!!!!  I've already been here a handful of time, and I don't even sing!  Very friendly staff, hard alcohol, themed rooms, Perfect spot for small or large groups!

I like this place. Laid back, music unintrusive, but you can still hear it.  Lots of interesting people hanging about. I was here fairly early (night, not morning) and there was a good sized crowd.  Enough people to enjoy watching, but you're not getting knocked into or fighting for the bartender's attention. The display of muffins, etc. on the bar proper is a bit weird at this point of the day.  I get that  this place has the split personality of also being a morning cafe, but when you're there for gin, a muffin is totally unexpected. Another sight here, unexpected:  The Most Beautiful Man Ever (with the Best Hair Ever) sitting on that chair near the fire.  Woah.  Like I said, good people watching. *dirty thoughts*

This is one of my new obsessions.  I've been there twice this week and if I lived closer, that number would be higher.  I've always liked the red bean buns of theirs that I've found at the Buford Highway Farmer's Market, but this was the first time I've gone to the source.  The selection is really impressive.  There are at least 2 long tables full of baked goods - from rice doughnuts to cookies, bread and of course the red bean (and green bean) buns.  I also got what they called a sausage roll, but it was a hot dog wrapped in a pastry-type bread.  It was delicious!  The flakiness of the dough falls off as you savor it.  There are also lots of free samples too, so if you can try some new things (the fried rice ball was sinful - tasted like funnel cake!). We also stopped by for lunch. It has a nice cafe feel.  I ordered the turkey panini with broccoli & cheese soup.  Also got a mango bubble tea.  All very yummy.  My dining companion had the chicken salad sandwich and enjoyed that quite a bit.  I think there's also free wifi, but I wouldn't trust myself to spend many hours here with the free samples and delicious baked goods so easily accessible.
