by Margret Cagnon on This place is amazeballs! Sophisticated southern food and great service. For starters, they give you biscuits and cornbread with butter and peach preserves. MY GOODNESS it was tasty. The cornbread has whole kernels of sweet corn in them, I couldn't stop eating them. Then we had the fried green tomatoes and chicken livers appetizers, which were delicious. The chicken livers come with caramelized onions and on top of toasted bread and creamed corn, and the fried green tomatoes sat on top of a red pepper coulis, and both had wonderful flavor profiles. The closer: BREAD PUDDING CHEESECAKE. I think my mouth had an orgasm eating this. So. Good. Apparently its a new menu item. And its also my new favorite desert in the city. I'll definitely be back to try more!
by Basilia Calabro on I have been to Velvet room 2x in my life. One time it was really good, the other time it was really HOOD. The first time was for a musiq soulchild concert...the drinks were flowing and the concert was amazing...so that made it all good. The second time was on a random sunday night, the line was long, the admission was ridiculous ( i am too embarrased to say what i paid to get in), and the women were "gag"---so that was all hood. I actually think the venue is a really good looking spot. Its actually one of the nicer places to go to in Atlanta....however, I guess its really not about the venue when the ppl that enter the place are sh---ty. So go experience it for yourself...I doubt ill be back unless its for a private event...
by kelli r. on I had a good time at Saint. I am not a club person but really enjoyed myself here. It probably didn't hurt that Sting was at the table next to us! This club is still the place to see and be seen. We had a table which helped with the experience. They placed us at the best table..in front of the DJ (Thanks Winter!). The music was great! Our server was extremely attentive...she didn't miss a beat. The only negative was all the people falling over our table but we had a security guard next to our table and he did a great job of trying to keep people away. Our group ranged in age from 26 to 37and everyone had a blast. This place is a keeper for me...
