Great ambiance, live crowd, but calm enough to have a good conversation with your group! Had to wait in the bar/lounge a bit but worth it.

It was so nice when Silk City reopened a few years back. It filled a hole in the reasonable eats within walking distance of my house category. Parking's not so bad either which is always a plus when I am too lazy to walk. Our most recent visit, this Saturday night was one such occasion where we had to park the whip and a close, free spot was part of the Silk City draw. Another part was the low, red lighting to disguise my post NYE pallor. It sucks if you have to sit in one of the little tables and is worth it to wait for 5-10 minutes for a booth to open up. I had the meatloaf with peas and mashed potatoes. It was topped off with the brownie sundae with vanilla in lieu of chocolate ice cream. I am a sucker for a brownie sundae. I passed out into a food coma immediately upon our return home (at 8 PM). Sometimes that's exactly what you need on Saturday night.

EA - one of the most spacious bars in Buckhead, yet always super crowded, so you wouldn't know it! The upfront outdoor bar is my favorite, because it tends to be a little less packed and you can still hear the guy singing right inside the bar. The fountain area is also a fun place to hang on a summer night and it is easy to get a drink at the bar back there. And for some reason, unlike other bars in Buckhead, the guy to girl ratio is like 3 to 1...I have no idea what attracts all the guys, but it doesn't hurt to go here on a girl's night out!
