by Ellen J. on I've been to Maggiano's thrice, but the other two times were at the Plano location just outside of Dallas. The first time was for lunch after an all-night crazy party night with people I barely knew (in fact, the "host" of the group of strangers asked me and my friend Danielle, still in our clubbing gear, "who are you girls again?" which prompted us to remind him we left our car at the nightclub Sense the night before due to his urging to ride with him and his friends, but I digress...). The second was for an employee holiday dinner when I worked for The Container Store in Dallas. Last night, was to celebrate my friend Erin's birthday. Each time, Maggiano's was at capacity. So, what's my point in telling you all this? My salmon was too damn salty. I'm going to start the "The Salmon is Too Damn Salty" party and run on a platform that ensures the main course is as perfectly seasoned as the crispy "OMG, I can't stop eating these" potatoes, drenched in butter. The side of spinach was well seasoned as well, but somehow, my little upstream swimmer got two shakings of salt. I'm pretty sure this isn't the norm so I didn't complain. I really do like Maggiano's and I will go back. Next time, I'll ask them to hold the salt, though.
