Great sound system, big dance floor, lots of available parking, very cool decor. It's a little expensive, but what do I know? It'd been a while since I'd been out to a night club. I went during the week, so I don't know how packed it gets on a Friday or Saturday night. Very cool eclectic clientele. Not your usual night clubbery scene, which is cool. The real kind of SF night club.

I'd like this place more if it were bigger and in a non-shady neighborhood! The entire bar/lounge/dance area was the size of my living room, no joke, and my house wouldn't be featured on Cribs. Nevertheless, it's cute, cozy, and a great place to bring a huge group of friends to, not one or two since it's such a tiny place. Music was okay but nobody was dancing since there were enough lights on to be an electric show. Drinks were so-so. Boyfriend bought me a vodka-soda and though strong and not in a plastic cup (like they so proudly advertise), 80% of it was ice. Guess they didn't want to mention that! This place shouldn't even have charged cover. It was like going to someone's house and having to pay to enter and it's just plain and regular inside, but there were go-go dancers too... scary!

On a warm Tuesday night, D and I decided to try a new spot, a bit out of the way, but it was always busy when we passed by. The place on a Tuesday, was poppin (live music), we were promptly seated after being given the once over by the the other guests seated outside. Here's what we ordered: Appetizer: Marudos Relleno con.... Plantains stuffed with cod $10 Mains: Steak Frites $22 Vegetarian Paella Drink: White Sangria $7 We were very surprised at the Plantains, it was soooo good. I would go back there just for that dish alone. it was a whole plantain split in the middle and shredded cod mixed with a tomato and cheese based sauce stuffed and baked. It had just the right mixture of salty sweet, with excellent texture. The steak was pretty standard, but it was a very generous size for skirt steak. The fries were sub-par. The paella was very good. The vegetables that were used were diced ad not overcooked and the rice was not overcooked, like paella has a tendency to be. Over all the entire experience was enjoyable, but beware, it's not a quiet place. Oh but i did get to see through a night vision lens from a fireman that was checking a gas leak in the restaurant.
