by Stacey T. on I would love to go back to BarChi. The happy hour has to be one of the best in town, and they do it late at night to boot! You can get both drinks and rolls for cheap (plus apps like edamame, calamari, etc) and the selection's not too bad. Definitely try the Lychee Sake. Some things to note, this place is not so much a restaurant but a nightclub with tables, chairs, servers, and food. It is EXTREMELY LOUD and I would recommend skipping it for your first date with that special anyone. It is chic, and good for late a night when you want to drink but want waiters to come to you. The sushi is a nice bonus. The selection isn't incredibly varied; we were disappointed that they didn't have more eel on the menu since it's our favorite. But what we did taste was pretty delicious. Better than boring but not so far as innovative. Check plus. The friendly, prompt service made a big difference too. Per person, tons of fish and drinks: less than $30. Not sure if this is my sushi spot during dinner hours, but for a night on the town with some hungry lushes, I foresee BarChi being a staple.
by sarah and erica y. on SATURDAY nights with DJ Kon...dance the night away ..never a dull moment..he is the BEST DJ in THE USA...the people who are there are alwyas cool, down for a good time. Although the bar is small and it is difficult to get drinks, be patient and you will get hooked up! This is Sarah's favorite place to dance ...if you are over 30 and want to shake your tailfeather...go ahead and SMILE and sing along while you are doing it...come early if you dont want to stand in line...DJ KON has a fanclub!
