STRICTLY FOR THE HALLOWEEN EVENT: How can you review a club that you've never been to? Well, I think I've earned my right, as I stood in line for 1 1/2 hour last night for their Halloween event. My friends and I got suckered into the line which wrapped around the entire block. We had our epiphany and decided to leave when people came out gasping for air and complaining about it being too hot and crowded. It became so full, that the line just stopped moving. Everyone, including the bouncers seemed to be pretty disgruntled. I lost 1 1/2 hours of my Halloween night! The only justification for the one star is quite possibly the Bowsers Pizza located a few shops down - they were my Savior last night. I ate their pizza, fist pumped to their live music briefly, and used their restroom while my friends held my place in the atrocious never ending line to eternal damnation. Booo! Lesson learned: buy tickets early in advance or just don't bother. I MIGHT give this lounge another chance outside of Halloween night.

This is my favorite gay club in the city on Fridays. I guess, when I USED to be on the prowl, I loved the Asian appeal. Though the guys are rather SUPER picky, if you are a young, athletic/muscular, Asian-American, with an air of confidence, you'll be swarmed with the eyes of onlookers. Keep an eye out for the gross old white guys who try to talk to you. Just let them buy you a drink to make em feel good. The building is comprised of an upstairs, downstairs, and outside smoking section (1st floor) with an open roof. The downstairs and upstairs music typically are either hip-hop or techno, but NEVER both. I would have to rate the guys as 3/5 up to 5/5 (very rare). There are, of course, the occasional gross guys, but they are usually just your "sidekick" who lives vicariously through your own sex lives to satisfy their own. LOL I recommend this club if you are looking for an Asian meal (gross but true). Make yourself a regular and you'll be able to skip the $8 cover charge (get to to know the bouncer, duh!).

The decor of Buddha Bar is very intense, the best way to describe it is a "restaurant dressed up for a costume party". It used to be a button factory so there are really high ceilings and a lot of open space. I went to Buddha Bar on a Thursday night with a group of friends for an early dinner, it was a wonderful experience. The food was good, the staff was friendly, and the booze was flowing.
