by Sasha Fracchia on I wish i could put a negative star on Rateclub. This is my first Rateclub review and it's due to having a horrible experience here last night. Trying to celebrate my birthday here, but security were total jacks! 2 people had already called the manager to confirm entry time for cover charge which was supposed to be free before 10pm, and that's why we had dinner down the block. Once we get to Bruno's one security says $15 all night. Fine not a problem. Once we say we'll be back, since it is still early and figure we can still go in later for $15, the head of security/ king jack ass told us rudely after 11pm $20 and the first security guy said out loud ok I lied about $15 all night. After trying to call the manager and trying to talk to security, it was no use. King jack ass was still rude, gave attitude, and almost ruined the night. NO worries though, we just headed down the street to Medjools, where we would happily have paid cover with no attitude, staff was friendly, space was alot cleaner,more open, and they have a lovely terrace. BEAUTIFUL SPOT to party, PLS COME HERE OR ANYWHERE ELSE BESIDES BRUNOS!!! There's so many other places on Mission to hit up besides Brunos. Been here before, it's crowded, lines are long, bartenders take forever to get you a drink, and now horrible and rude staff! Bruno's is lame, we would have paid cover, had not the website advertised something different, and had 2 people confirm with the manager, and the security not sucked!!!!

I love the Majestic for the new polished metal and red restroom doors and fancy track jackets - but they gotta change their breakfast prices! by Angela H. on I came here last night with my coworkers to see Eef Barzelay. Cute place, great bar. I like these types of intimate small atmospheres. Since we all came to celebrate my last day at work, I ended up getting five drinks, which were all quite tasty and got me quite tipsy. I ended up eating some leftover fries left on a table? They were good...so if Cafe du Nord actually serves fries, they have good fries...
