by Harlan Ghosten on Came here on a Friday night, maybe I would've been better off coming on a Saturday. Cielo was cool, but considering the expensive cover and drinks and mediocre DJ it's not anything to write home about. When choosing a nightclub, you never want to leave thinking about how much you spent on drinks, you want to leave thinking about what a great time you had while you were there. That being said, it was a cool experience. If they knocked off 50% on everything then I'd probably like it a little bit better.
by Zoe L. on I could write a review about the cheap happy hour and strong drinks, or I could rave about the entertaining pool table and relaxing outdoor patio, but I would be disguising my true reason for writing this review: I have the jones for Cleo, the sexy bartender last night. Cleo, if you happen upon this review, thank you for the strong drinks, the great conversation, and the fucking rad music (The Devil Makes 3!!). You made our night.
by Marcellus Toddy on My favorite bar in Atlanta. Why? Probably because I didn't feel like I was in Atlanta whenever I went there. Located off the main drags, Halo is one of those places with no sign outside. Perfect. Inside is a large split-level room with a long sleek illuminated marble bar. The first time I walked in, I thought, "Now THIS is my kind of place!" Definitely has a NYC vibe to it. As for the overpriced drinks, if I recall (difficult given we have to go back to my drunken college days) the drinks were like $6. Is that expensive? Maybe in Atlanta.
