I didn't stay at Buffalo Billiards very long, so my review won't exactly be in depth. Then again, all we did was have booze & chat, so what can you expect? A group of us came here after dinner one night just to relax, shoot some pool, and hang out in general. I was surprised at the size of the place - it even had an upstairs balcony overlooking 6th street. There were plenty of free pool tables that night and I think we managed to snag a shuffleboard area, too. Prices were reasonable that night and our bartenders were nice, but mostly business. None of them seemed to want to chat with us while we were ordering, but oh well. At least the drinks were strong & we had a good time anyway!

I had a hook-up at the front door, so I never really waited outside or pay the ridic cover to get in. That brought it up a lot in my book. You have to remember where you are: Hollywood, CA. Everything is who you know and how much you are willing to spend. I had some great nights here, I've had some crappy nights in here. It depends on the DJ, the crowd and how drunk I am. I enjoy being able to dance and let loose, sometimes the dance floor had just the right amount of people, sometimes way too many people. I can't stand getting hit on all sides while dancing. Unless it's all chicks. I've ordered a round of drinks for my friends and almost gagged when I saw the bill.  A Bud Light should never cost more than $7 a bottle. Ever. Like all clubs, the DJ has control of it all. The mood, the dance floor. Too many times they would get the crowd ready to go with a great song, only to cut it before the hook. But as long as I didn't spend more than $50 here, it was fun.

Middlesex is lougeariffic. The DJs are always doings something interesting - nothing typical. It's a good place to go at anytime - afterwork, after dinner, or late night drinks. It's good to get there before 10-10:30pm. The line gets insane after that. It's crap to wait in a line like that - but if you beat the line you can see that they keep the crowd on the inside to a reasonable amount of people - never too too crowded. The cheese plate is the best GD cheese plate in Boston. And it's not like I take cheese plates lightly.
