I've been meaning to check out this place for a while now but never had a reason to go. When I feel like getting my dance on I usually head over to the Gold Room or Via- Buckhead. Not so bad for my first time, I must admit. The dj that night was pretty good and I was pleasantly surprised with the level of "non cockiness" that the staff conveyed as they were welcoming us, assisting us into the club. From previous experience, I never understood why folks who work at these establishments never smiled and always seem to look pist off. This is definitely NOT the case at Tongue & Groove. The front desk staff, the door men and the valet guys were all pleasant and did their job well. Next time I want to get my dance on, T & G will be my first pick.

Now this place was a hit! I loved the Live Music, Food, and Drinks! For Valentines Day Weekend my Girlfriend, Michelle N. made reservations to conclude a wonder day in SF. We wanted to watch a live band and eat some good food. When it comes to food, sky is the limit when we eat! I told my gf to order whatever she wants. You diffidently get what you pay for! We ordered: Sauteed Mixed Mushrooms Sweet Potato Fries Homemade Ketchup Potato Bud Seared Scallops Coffee Crusted Pork Loin We drank - Flor Prosecco di Valdobbiadene (Sparkling Wine) OMGGGG. Nomnomonomonomonomnoms. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. It was soo good i ate the decorations that came with each plate. Hahaha. I would recommend everything we bought esp the Scallops and Pork Loin. Meat lovers and seafood lovers will absolutely LOVE it!!! Each dish has a unique flavor to it. Its almost like an orgasm in your mouth. Nomnomonom. Enough about the Food. Let's talk about seating. We sat by the entrance, which was a little chilly, but a great view of the stage. Once you're down with your food and your back is to the stage, then you can cuddle up with your date on the couch where your date is sitting and watch the show. The band that performed was called The Jacob Fred Jazz Odessy. It's like an Indie Band with Drum n' Bass Drums, and Unique Instruments. Cello as the Bass, Piano/Synthesizer w/ Mouth Hose to sing into, Steel Guitar which was played on the lap, followed by the Drum n Bass Style Drums. It was pretty sick if you asked me. I would mosdef, buy the cd. My Overall Experience at Coda was great. The ambiance of the place gave a chill feeling where you can hella enjoy the music and food. Great place to take a date!
