by Ken T. on I couldn't tell if I had a good time here because I had quite a bit to drink, or because the reality of how bad things became too damn funny to me... I think it's a combination of both. Two friends and I stopped by here on the Second Anniversary, where the club offered no cover and open bar until 11pm. After reading the previous reviews, THANK (whatever higher being you believe in, could be your own damn self) we didn't pay any cover for this place that confuses itself for a Vegas club. $40-$60 cover? Gotta be crazy if you expect me to pay for subpar quality of entertainment. Upon arrival, we entered the electronica/techno/trance room and I couldn't believe that people had photon and swinging lights. Are we still in high school? Good thing we found the main room right away, but even that was a short lived blessing, as we encountered a DJ who decided to play everything from my Senior Prom in 30 sec intervals. No, I don't want to do the Atown stomp to Usher. Thanks, though What was most comical, was how bored the go-go dancers were. If you're going to be dancing on a platform in fishnets and pink hair, make me believe that you want to be there. If your sexy dance is dancing the 2 step on the off beats, there's a reason why you were dancing with no spotlight on you. I'll come here again if I ever need a good laugh
by Tracy Holloman on Big fan of this bar in Central Square. Shot and pint prices are pretty decent. I like that this is a real Irish bar away from the meat market of downtown and Fanueil Hall. The place has a great juke box and it's easy to have normal conversations with new people.
