I actually really liked the short rib tacos--and the house margarita was v. Good too. The chips and salsa are indeed embarrassing, greasy and bland. Not too many vegetarian options that I spotted. Get there on scoutmob my friends---totally worth it. Did you know that your tastebuds can't discern the presence of Pepe Lopez Tequila (as opposed to something more reputable) in Pure's house margarita? Well I didn't either--apparently their mix is *that* good. I'm a believer.

I'd give the Starlight Room five stars for a weekday afternoon in winter and only for a weekday afternoon in winter. This is a lovely place for an empty-bar, stunning-view, break-from Christmas- shopping amaretto sour. It is NOT, however, the place to go for an elegant nightcap after your wedding on a Saturday night. My brand-new husband and I learned that lesson the hard way. To the strains of Christina Aguilara, we got ignored by a unskilled bartender, he got the wrong drink, and lots of nice gentlemen stared openly at my boobs. As everyone there was superoverdressed, a sweet inebriatrix told me my vintagey silk halter gown was "cute." The DJ closed the bar with Twisted Sister. Not really my ideal start to my wedding night but, on the upside, we did get to see a really angry drunk girl nearly hurl all over herself in the elevator. And, baby, when that's your upside, you know you're talking good times!
