by Shuyi Z. on This place is HORRIBLE!! I went with a friend who knew the promoter. It was supposed to be free before 11PM. We got there at 10 30 and then they made us wait till 11 so they could charge us. RIDICULOUS. Also,this place is way too small.
by Katrice Bluel on I fluttered between 1 and 2 stars for this place. It's a chain, and judging from the company website, the SF location is the most boring one they have. Passes itself off as a sports bar, but good luck getting a bowl of peanuts or pretzels while watching a game after work. But what else could you expect in the Metreon? Owner, or manager, is an ass. Sorry, but true. Had a very unpleasant time with him and his idea of customer service is to ignore a complaint and go home for the evening.
by Jodi Denoble on This is one of those bars that I generally only go to if there is a special event or I have a friend with me who absolutely insists on stopping by. Prague is located between the Marq and Gruv on the corner of 5th and Congress. The decor is as you might expect from the name, it is kinda reminiscent of a funny Halloween haunted house. Lots of candles, gargoyles and a ton of things that look like they belong in an S&M theme room at a motel in hell. The staff is very friendly, the bartenders are professional and pour good drinks at average prices for the area. The music has always been decent as well, I honestly don't usually stay in the place for more than 15 minutes so I don't usually get a chance to really enjoy the music. Overall it is a strangely themed underground bar with polite bar staff, decent drinks at average prices. One thing that they really have going is that they are about to open a roof top patio bar which should really be interesting and make the whole corner of 5th and Congress even crazier than it already is.
