Science + Music + Alcohol = How can you lose? I got there 30 minutes after it started and I didn't have to wait in line at all since I bought my ticket online. I couldn't find parking anywhere on the street but if you pay $10 to park in the underground parking garage right in front of it, there was plenty of parking. You pretty much get to see all the exhibits without all the kids running around and shoving in front of you. Get there early for planetarium tickets. When we went in for our show, they said they gave out too many tickets so they gave us tickets for a later show and got us into the Rain Forest without waiting in line so at least they made up for it. Rain Forest was pretty crowded but still really cool. I think the aquarium was the place to be. You could still hear music in some parts of it and lots of people were down there, but not enough to make it too crowded. They even had a couple bars down there too. Living Roof was great at night except the fog made it kind of wet. It was also windy up there so unless you bring a jacket, you won't stay up there long. People dressed from t-shirts to suits so I think whatever you wear is fine. Mostly, there were groups and couples here. Overall, really fun. -Best places to go: rain forest, aquarium, living roof, planetarium -Buy tickets online before hand

this is pretty much my favorite place to go in the boston/cambridge area for a night out. it has a much more open space than other typical bars that are more narrow and cramped, although this place can get packed and lines can be long around 1130 or so. so come early! there is only one bar, but it doesn't take an eternity to get a drink. the prices aren't bad either. i've been here a few times and have been musically satisfied. there was one night where i wasn't feelin the music as much, only cuz it's not my kind of music. i'm into old school, non-radio, good hip-hop. there are several nights a month that middlesex has this music. one night i was surprised to hear SF Bay Area music--thumbs up! the crowd here is usually friendly, laid back, and professional. come here if you're looking for any of the above.
