by Otilia Procopio on Went here with a friend for a ratecluber happy hour a few weeks ago and we arrive at 7pm so it was free to get in. I have to say the thing I love most about this place is the concept. A large warehouse type space that functions as an art gallery and a bar. Nice. The art on the wall was "interesting" and definitely conversation pieces, but not something I'd actually purchase. The bartenders were friendly enough and the drinks were good. One room was spinning an impressive assortment of hip hop music, while the other DJ was focused on pretty good house music. And of course in the room with the house music, there was the obligatory 40+ year old man on the dancefloor bustin' a move on the dancefloor, trying to outdo the rest of the youngsters out there. (Note to rateclubers: Please don't ever be that guy. He's entertaining but...sad. ) My biggest complaint about this place was that it's way too freaking loud! I had to yell the entire night and by the time I left (which was relatively early in the night), my nerves were completely shot. Other than that, it's a good spot to hang out, although I'm not sure I'd pay a $30 cover charge later on in the night...
