by Catherine T. on We were supposed to have our office Holiday Party at The Park on Thursday December 9th at my recommendation. They just called us today, Monday Decembr 6th, 3 DAYS before the party to tell us someone had rented out the entire space and we could no longer hold our party there!!! Never have I heard of such a thing and am amazed that they did/could/would pull this. I will never go there again
by Randy Stendal on Interesting to note that this placed is simply down the block from where I live. I ventured into Icon after an ex-boxing Classmate came over for a glass of red while enroute to a SOMA party. Icon? Ok, I'm there! We walked into a FIRE HAZARD ZONE! ... I thought, if earthquake occurred, do I really want to be sandwiched with them? After a few minutes, I had fun dancing to hiphop tunes ... albeit NOT my crowd .... Not even a 90s crowd when I was so into European guys .. and so not my current crowd where I am into Euro-Africans. It's so homogeneously Asian! ... my own skin-colored peoples, and yet not European. I laughed this is so next gen ... where Anime and Asian drama prevails, while I'm of the Ibiza-Sardegna-Marbella generation .. those Euor-mix people that don't belong in this very Asian crowd. Nevertheless, I had fun dancin' with my homegirls, hence a 3 star!
