Never eat here. We ordered the hummus, which was like wet newspaper, the calamari, which were greasy, and a salad that came with a long blond wavy HAIR STRING in it. It's very dark, so you can't see what you are eating. The one star is for their food. I would go here just to listen to music and not bother about eating there.

This has de facto become my neighborhood bar as it is a 5 min walk away from my house, and I'm glad that I have a pretty dope spot to call my own. As many people have mentioned, come on Thursdays for the Root Down where you'll hear some old school ghetton blastin hip hop, and none of that new school jiggy stuff. I finally made it out for the Root Down a few weeks back and as expected the music was dope and the vibe was fresh but for some reason there weren't that many people there. Maybe it was because there were no big name guest DJs that night but I heard that peanut butter wolf was spinnin there a few months back. I've also been here on a Friday night though and it becomes more of a wanna-be Hollywood scene though with top 40 music, if you're into that instead. But in any case I'll be back here soon bobbin my head and sippin on that Sapporo brew. PS check out the little sekret room to your left right when you step in the doors. My friend calls it the "sex room," check it out and you may agree.

Attended a private party at the Icon and had a great time. Bar staff were very attentive. I saw numerous drinks being spilled all over the dance floor and soon as the drinks hit the floor, lounge staff is there to clean it up. I was also told that the Golden State Warriors hang out at Icon on Thursdays....hmmmm? Anyway, I had a great time. By the way, my compliments to the DJ. He knew how to throw down a good mix of Hip Hop, Rap, and R&B.
