The DJ sucked so bad, people kept standing around with "what the F**K " faces. He was clearly a beginner. Tony Martinez., please don't advertise your name until you've mastered DJ skills. The drinks are weak. So if you're not driving, drink up before you drop a few twenties. Stronger drinks might help you ignore the music/forget where you are. And there was a fight, a fist fight on the dance floor. I feel bad for the people who paid $20 to get in. What a waste of money. Are people posting more than 2 stars getting paid/freebies?!? Or related to someone working for My House? Definitely different DJ/better bartenders for 2+ star reviews given here. One star for 10 minutes of danceable music.

This place was just too dull to inspire an insightful, scathing review. Instead, a short anecdote: Knowing that I had to stick around for a bit (but not too long), I ordered one simple, easy drink: Stoli Razz and soda. Twelve bucks. And it came in a rocks glass. I tried to be positive, reminding myself that fancy drinks from fancy cocktail places cost more. Then the bartender rang through an automatic 20% tip on my one drink order, charging $14 and change to my credit card. Never. Again. Who ever goes here and wants to come back, really?

***Warning: Please stay from Cielo on Wednesday Night*** Only one of the very best DJs in the world holds court every Wednesday at his own weekly, Roots. Who might that be? Why, the other half of Masters at Work, Little Louie Vega. When the maestro is on the deck please activate dancing feet, smiling face, arm waving, sweat glands, emotional highs, and booty shaking beats. You've been warned. Stay away. I want the dance floor to myself. Ok, so I'll share it with the breakers, and the club kids, and the suits, and the party girls in their shimmery dresses. Cover is $15 but its NYC, what do you expect. Pay the woman the money and get inside. Intelligent lighting, GIGANTIC disco ball, it was so big there were little disco balls in orbit around it. Booming sound system. The last time I heard something this good was back at the old 177 Townsend in SF. I'm hooked. Like a 78 year old retiree from Florida to Bingo every Wednesday night.
