$12 to get in? Heck yes! :) Alcohol? YES! Just sucks that it's CA$H only, so hit up the ATM before you get here. But I love the Sci Academy during the day and love it even more at night. It's gets pretty crowded (and the line outside gets LONG), but it's still probably 100X betters w/o all the STROLLERS and crying 3 year olds. I'll definitely be back... and hopefully make it to happy hour this time. My favorite are chocolate chip starfish and pignose turtles! :))) Oh yea, kind of wish the bartenders were a bit more friendly... but you didn't hear me say that. :X

By far my favorite restaurant in all of atlanta! I haven't been back since it burnt down from the fire. However, I also don't live in atlanta anymore so, haven't had an occasion to go! Ok, so you get there and walk the plank over a moat filled with alligators to reach the pirate ship which you can be seated in, or above, or in a little pirate town...oh my! on the ship there is a live jazz band - quite atmospheric! Once seated enjoy tasty alcoholic beverages before the pots come out. Then its on to fondue - melted cheese you own me! The traditional cheese is the best...with bread, tomatoes, etc. Then when you've eaten enough cheese you think you could explode the meat course comes out - delicious - with complimentary dipping sauces. Don't expect dessert fondue if you didn't order it in advance - they are serious about their chocolate fondue and start making it a day prior. I just love this place! it's expensive but so worth it! it's such a treat! My most memorable experience of my handful of times spent here was my 19th birthday - probably my favorite birthday meal ever!

After reading some good reviews and hearing some good things about Vessel, I was excited to try it out since I'm always trying to find a fun club whenever I get the chance to go to the city. However, Vessel failed on me. First of all, the club's website said there would be no cover charge for last Friday. I don't mind paying cover, but if your website says specifically no cover, how are you going to charge it? We got up the cashier and she said $20, I was really schocked. But since it was my friend's birthday, I paid up $40 bucks with no hesitation since it was her day. We walked down the stairs and noticed how packed the place was. I was surprised they were still even letting people in, cause it was pretty damn difficult to move around. The crowd at Vessel was pretty whack... Much of the crowd looked very stuck up, and as if they didn't know how to handle their alcohol. There were groups of stuck up girls who kept looking at you as if you were the scum of the earth. On top of that, they seemed as if they never went out a day in their life, just swinging their arms everywhere and constantly smacking people in the face. Um I didn't come to the club to constantly get hit by some drunk chick. nope. On top of it all, the DJ was almost horrible that night. Maybe it was just that night, since I've seen good reviews about the music here. I don't know what he was doing, but he constantly would stop the music out of nowhere, wait a couple seconds, then start it again. And then, at a moment in the night, he asked "WHERE ARE ALL MY INDEPENDENT WOMEN AT?!" so i swear i thought he was gunna play miss independent by ne-yo.. but nope, he proceeded to play independent woman by destiny's child. don't get me wrong, that was a pretty cool song back in the days.. but i just would never expect to hear it at a club now.. wasn't the easiest song to dance to. anyhow, im not sure if i would return to vessel. but there is one thing i noticed. and thats the fact that this would actually be a good place to get bottle service, because the table areas were literally almost the same size as the floor. so if you come here and get bottle service, you'll have plenty of room and not have to suffocate on the dance floor.  so yeah, this club to me would be one of those places good to get table service, but if you're trying to go out and dance, i wouldn't reccomend it. place is way too small.
