Look, karaoke bars are infamous for being crappy, whole in the wall, weak systems, and crappy rooms with a 19th century TV and with a maybe 20th century karaoke system. Here you get EVERYTHING, from fully decorative rooms, to 52 inch flat screens, can't go wrong with a full bar and snacks too! You definitely got to check it out, great food, great drinks, great people, pretty much sums up a great karaoke bar. Oh, did I mention that the smokers stay outside? Yes, a smoking patio in the back means clean fresh air for everyone in the rooms! Check it out, one of the best spots in town.

Webster Hall is a sprawling concert and event venue, offering several floors of live entertainment options. The Grand Ballroom is often home to popular live music performances. The acoustics are clear and powerful. The space allows you to comfortably cheer on your favorite group. A high balcony overlooks the stage and provides additional views. The large bar in the rear of the theater sells affordable, strong mixed drinks, beers, and wines. Mixed drinks are served in small plastic cups, though, so I would recommend sticking to beer. Though I have had pretty decent experiences at Webster Hall, I prefer to stick to more intimate venues when possible.

Holy salsa dancing, Cafe Cocomo!!! I went there for the first time this past Saturday and was shocked. I danced once, with a very friendly man who didn't pick on me because I sucked. I'm white, I can dance to techno and maybe hip hop, salsa not so much. I tend to bounce instead of moving my hips because it seems easier. Anyway, it was like the World Championship of Salsa going on in there. We saw some high kicks, dips, floor drops and god knows what else. It was intense, I needed time to process because I was totally unprepared for what I was walking into. We had gone to Roccapulco a month earlier and had a blast, it was more of a beginner intermediate crowd with a lot of singles, the real dancers are all at Cocomo, however they seemed more paired off. We sat in a booth in the side room people watching for a good two hours. We had bets on what was going on with the party next to us. There was a guy who was obviously bored texting on his phone and then there was some girl who kept trying to kiss him and he kinda pushed her off but kinda not so we couldn't tell if it was a bad date, an ex-gf or as face book calls it "its complicated" or just some guy who gets annoyed when his girl gets trashed. So if you are reading this, was that your ex-girlfriend, because I want to collect!! Ok back to it, the set-up is like this. There is a large dance floor in front of the stage. There is a balcony with couches and a side room with booths. The side room tends to be for the people who suck and the people who need more room to get their salsa on. There is also an outside with trees and lights. If you want to salsa check out Cafe Cocomo but be prepared, people are really good there. If you go with a group you'll most likely have a blast, its just that kind of place.
