by Brian G. on A friend recently mentioned Lime as a place she's been wanting to go to but hadn't made it yet. I told her I'd check the place the place out and would report back. Well here's my report back: DON'T GO We had a reservation on a Saturday night and were expecting a cool vibe and some fun food. The place looks very cool when you first walk in. It's when you actually sit down and begin the experience that you realized how dated and kind of gross the place is. Chairs are really worn out and our dinner plates were greasy, yes....GREASY. We had to actually turn around to some of the other empty tables to try to find less greasy looking plates. The food was OK but nothing special. This food actually would be amazing at 2:30 in the morning after a night of drinking, not for a Saturday night 8pm dinner. The crowd in this place was also sorta disappointing. We happened to be there on some Santa night and had to deal with a TON of drunk people dressed as Santa sit in booths making out with each other etc. There was one person that our whole table was betting on whether or not she was going to lose it right there at the table. I know Lime can't control this type of behavior but it speaks for the type of crowd that goes to this place on a Saturday night. The best part about this place was the service and cute waiters. I was hopeful with the 4 star reviews that I saw on rateclubs and this is really the first time rateclubs has let me down.
by Donny Schmelzer on I used to attend Wednesday nights religiously. It is fun, however, attending that much burned me out. It was the same DJ every week so we heard practically the same playlist every week. Thus, the music can get tedious if there often enough. The drinks are pricey, of course. I do have to say this about their security staff, though. The last time I went, I was walking down the steps by the bar, and texting. Since my eyes were adverted, I did not notice that the steps were wet. I guess someone had spilled their drink. Lo and behold, I stepped on the substance and fell down the stairs. As embarassing as that was, it was also painful because my foot was underneath me as my body hit the floor, so I sprained my ankle. I sat there for a few seconds because of the pain and before I knew it, a security guard was helping me up, but very forcefully. He assumed that I was drunk, did not let me explain that I needed to sit there for a few seconds to because I was in pain, pulled me off of the floor, and proceeded to lead me to the door and said that I needed to leave. So of course, my night ended earlier than expected, and I had to take my group of friends with me - one of which was her birthday and we were there celebrating. That probably has to be my biggest hang up. If I had a right mind, I would have sued but would it have been worth it? Probably not. It's a cool spot to go to, the decor is cool, and there is a smoking room in the back.
