by Christine K. on I went here this weekend with a couple of my friends and there were things i liked/disliked about this place. likes- 1) different music on the 1st and 2nd floor; there was hip hop/r&b on the second floor and at times-- some house music on the first. 2) the bartender hooked it up with some loaded patron shots :):) dislikes- 1) this was a SUPER asian crowd and its soooo stuffy. literally, no air circulation on the second floor. 2) kindof reminds me of a 18+club b/c of the "atmosphere".. haha ;) But overall, I like to go pick and choose my places for 'hangout' and this place wasn't as good as thought it would be..
by Karie Wallett on Project One is exactly what this corner of San Francisco needed. It's a great, big, wide-open space that's perfect for parties. The bartenders are super friendly (one of them is also super handsome, uhm, for the record). This is also an excellent venue to show your art. Dino Dinco was on deck the night I went, curated by Brooke Waterhouse. As an artist, I apprecate the smaller room in the front. It provides great lighting for artwork while the rest of the space can have more romantical lighting. So many show spaces turn the lights down low, preventing the art from taking the spotlight.
