by James L. on I didn't like the club, but I went there for 80's night which was really fun. If I have friends in town who are under 21 I would go back... But there were to many mom's there with their 18yr old daughters for my liking.
by Archit H. on This place is great. The only thing I disliked about my first time here (a Friday night Poetry Slam) was that the people they chose as judges didn't know what they were doing. The slammers are usually great, and hell, Taylor Mali still stops by here so do stop by here if you enjoy good poetry.
by Renato Mccright on I think Shyam P's review was dead on. Honestly if Morimoto's was located outside of Philadelphia in an area with other Japanese cuisine competition I don't believe it would receive the level of praise it does. But this is Philadelphia, and for Japanese food in Philadelphia I enjoyed it. Being vegetarian I was very limited on what I could eat. For an appetizer I had tofu made at my table, and for my entree I combined a serving of veggie sushi and udon wheat noodles. Finally my desert mango-shiso was heavenly. As others mentioned the atmosphere is very modern / futuristic like. The chefs and staff were truly amazing. Chefs prepared / laid out food on our table and explained what everything was and how to eat it. Though my meal as described already was pretty straight forward how to eat, my date's meal (meat eater :D ) was a little more complicated. I can not stress enough how wonderful the staff was to us. In closing the food was definitely above average taking the location into account, and the staff and atmosphere met and surpassed expectation. Total bill for 2 was $150. A little pricey, but for a good date / dinner with business partners well worth it.
