by Kum Smitreski on this venue has it all. looks, charm, history, great acts, bar up and down stairs. the venue is big enough to house a good size crowd but small enough that you have a nice intimate concert. the sound is pretty good too. we also bought the nachos, wow those are big!
by Kelle Dembowski on Came here as plan B for my birthday and it was a good plan B. I was totally glad our first choice did not fall through. Pretty standard set up, nothing too fancy. Its basically a square room with an open dance floor with bars on either side. There was no set dress code, which made it a breeze for some of my guests. Music was sooo good, it kept us on the dance floor. They played all late 90's hip hop and r & b hits and it kept groovin' until last call. Minus one star because not all of my friends were on the guestlist (even though they signed up!)
by Marz W. on I just love this place. I love the atmosphere, the music the people. Its just a nice place to go out to. I haven't eaten at this location, but I did eat at the one that used to be at California and Divisidero and the food there was quite good. This place has 2 rooms for drinking and music. The front room is currently being remodeled, but it was very cozy in the winter with the fireplace, so I'm sure that it will only be improved. The back room, 'the secret room' as it was to me when I first found out it was there, is a real speakeasy style. Sitting in there gives you the feeling that you could be involved in illegal drinking during prohibition. It's really a great space and the acoustics are very good. The staff is really friendly. Its all a part of the truly warm feeling you get from being in there. Good for fun of the dining, drinking & dancing kind.
