As others have noted, 3 music rooms: ebm/synthpop/aggrotech/terrorbanana upstairs, downstairs there's a retro room for all of us old farts who think industrial ended around 1993, and a noise room for all the latest techno noise coming out of dirty european studios. You'll be hard-pressed to find the latter anywhere else in the city. Lots of great industrial bands play through here, but if there's a downside to Bunker, it's that their live system just can't compare to, say, the Music Box. I've tried other goth/industrial oriented clubs in the area and this is the only one I make it out to on a regular basis.
by Dela A. on Apparently a lot of things have changed at DNA! I went this past Friday after not going for a few months and it was like a gay night! I remember when Friday nights were techno, house and electronica in one room and the smaller room upstairs was hip hop. My home girl and I went to this place ready to shake our butts and there was like a drag show going on. Which don't get me wrong, is fun and very cool, but I was kinda looking to get my heterosexualness on! lol. (Yes I just made it up!) Anyway, though the scene wasn't what I was looking for, the music was good as usual and the club was packed. I kinda wish it was how it used to be though. Used to be break dancers on the stage and everything. Maybe this past Friday was a special event. Who knows?
