I had a decent time here, luckily I was at a VIP table with some colleagues from work. Its nice not having to deal with all the punks and still have a good time. I thought it was funny how we had our own bouncer that would go to the dance floor and invite any girl we wanted in our area up. We never took advantage of this bouncers talents but its a good touch. If you dont like crowds, dont come here!

I've had 3 of the most epic nights of my life here seeing Kaskade, Miguel Migs, and Tiesto perform.  Then again, I'm totally into house music and my friends frequently dub me "eurotrash..." so Ruby Skye is totally my kind of place :)  I actually used to live a few blocks up the hill from here, but I'd only make an appearance when a really good DJ was playing because unfortunately I am a bit too poor for their hefty cover charges. The venue itself is classy (set in a restored, vintage theater), the bouncer guys have always been nice, and service at the bars is usually decent, so I have no complaints there.  The crowd, though, is hit or miss.  A lot of out-of-towners and suburbia people flock here, and although the venue is big, it can get crowded fast.  And if your fav DJ is playing, play it safe and buy your ticket online a few days in advance.  The night Kaskade was spinning, tickets were sold out by 10PM... There were a lot of pissed off and cracked out people waiting in line that night! My absolute favorite thing about Ruby Skye?  The sound system will give your ears orgasms.  I can still feel Kaskade's music thumping through my body from his performance in November.  Seriously, the acoustics here are nothing short of amazing and can easily compete with the big clubs I've been to in Vegas, Miami, and NYC.  It's no wonder why the most respected DJs in the world keep coming back to perform here!
