by Nicolas Bruggman on Ladies Free Valet Parking, Ladies Free before 10 and Ladies Drink till Midnight.....What's not to like about that set up? Went for my cuz's Bday celebration, and being the youngest one in the group I didn't feel too out of place. Definitely a crowd full of grown folks, looking to mix and mingle after work and get their two step on. The music was just "meh" to me. I understand I'm not going to hear a top 40 mix w/ the crowd they cater too, but they still could have done better. Maybe it was an off night, cause my other cuz who comes frequently commented on the music too. Food was decent. I had the cat fish fingers, and they give you a pretty large portion for what you pay. The jerk chicken rolls were bland, I expected them to have more flavor. And the spinach dip was so-so. The only things that took away stars for me..... 1. Get those damn floors fixed! Nobody wants to come struttin' in their 4inch heels to get tripped up and almost face plant because of all those dips and bunches of carpet in the floor. (yeah I was on my 4th free drink, but I wasn't that tore down) 2. Um yeah, it was getting hot in there, and not for all the right reasons. A couple of twirls on the dance floor and my hair was plastered to my head. Not a good look. Do something about the air would ya... 3. The waitress with the stank attitude. Um yeah, I know we sat down in section that was "reserved", but seeing as how there was no signage or anything, we thought we were free to sit wherever and order. So thanks for moving us two tables over, even though the people who the section was "reserved" for never showed up. And we appreciate you rudely telling us you weren't our server as you walked away, cause if you were I would have worked the hell outta you and left a big ass 0 where your tip should have been. All in all, it was a decent time, wish I could have given them 3 stars, but they still have some work to do.
by Tisha K. on I really liked it here! The alcohol lines were enormously long. I hope I can get here on time for my next visit and see all the cool exhibits I missed the time before. I especially liked the interactive games and aquarium downstairs. Very engaging, educational and fun to attend! Great for people with short attention spans because it's only from 6pm - 10pm and it has BOOZE! In other words; for all you college students out there looking for greater meaning in your life, it's a fabulous way to feel bourgeois and not have to pay a high price for entrance. Needless to say, it's a highly romantic date for two nerds (or liberals judging from the huge exhibition on global warming and our impeding death HAHA) on a budget :) Food court is incredibly expensive. Avoid if possible. However, I DID enjoy a wonderfully tasty good pork bun and tuna sandwich. I don't think it should have cost me $15 though. :)
