by Micheal Jeffers on The atmosphere and tradition are the reasons for the two stars. I was not very impressed with the actual food. Seems like there was too much bread and not enough meat on the sandwich. Will try Pat's across the street next time.
by David S. on Stopped by last night for a couple of pints. Lots of business people in suits for an Irish pub. Looks like they tried to hard to make it a classy place rather than just a pub. The interior is rather nice however. I think I would prefer hitting it on a weekend rather than a weeknight to see what the crowd is like.
by Cathleen Budde on Here's a tip...if you don't want to stand in a ridiculously long line, eat dinner there (Prana) first (but later, closer to when the club opens) and you won't have to withstand the line at all. Growing up as a hardcore club kid, I am a huge fan of house music so much appreciation went out to the DJ in the smaller room that night. However, I'm more into hip hop now (when it comes to dancing anyway) so I spent most of the time in the main room. The music was awesome and the vibe was great. The only negative I had was a couple of girls who loved to "dance big." As in, big arms and big legs flying all over the damn place...in your face, in your back, fingers in your eye...I'd had enough when a booty bump almost took me down. I'm all for self-expression, hell, if you want to bust out interpretive dance to "Boom Boom Pow" then go for it but if you so much as fling your arms in my face more than twice I might have to take you outside for a Texas-size ass whoopin'. I digress... so yeah, the music is great and the crowd is pretty chill. I'm not a big drinker but to keep up I had one and it was awful. I had a shot instead and since I didn't sip it, I can't really say if it was great or not but I recall it not being very strong since one shot is pretty much all I can handle. Overall I had a pretty fun evening so I'd recommend going. I didn't give it 3 stars because it didn't blow me over and honestly that takes a lot from a club.
