Like other rateclub'ers, I was really disappointed with Supperclub. My partner had been there a few years ago and had a blast so we tried it together with a Groupon. I thought the atmosphere and concept was very interesting so they have a great canvas to work from. But they didn't pull it together. First, the food was mediocre at best and the drinks were super weak and really pricey. The word of the night from the emcee was "Slutty" which really translated into "cheesy" for us. The DJ's music choices was like listening to a bad radio station with songs like OPP and pump up the jam. ICK. We were expecting a cool european mix of house music. The crowd was totally Fresno.

I'm almost never on this end of town, so I haven't been here in years. I just got a new job up here and thought I'd give it a go again, half way expecting that the quality had declined by now. Uh...I think it got BETTER! The place was full of people sitting inside and out and a line almost out the door. Everyone in line seemed perfectly happy to be waiting in this retardedly long line. Why? Well, because the food is delicious, fresh and the bread...OMG the bread...is home made. And what a variety! One of the owners is working the register and it's obvious he's used to dealing with nim-rods who dilly-dally even with the snaking line behind them. He was very direct with them...but with the best Customer Service smile I've seen in a long time. That shit WORKS, man. People come back, obviously. I ordered the "famous" Albacore Tuna sandwich to go. I stepped aside and read about 1/16 of this beaming article about the business mounted on the wall when my food came out. Literally under 2 minutes. The sandwich really was fantastic. There are seemingly a million paramount ingredients in that tuna salad. Did I mention the bread? Parmesan Focaccia. Not replicable. Therefore, I'll be back.

Solid three stars. I've been to vessel a couple times, once for bottle service and others just for kicks. The place itself is fairly small (or smaller than what I had imagined) but there's still plenty of space for dancing. It can get a little crowded at times, but nothing outrageous. I like hanging out by the speakers near the DJ, and it's cool that you can dance ON the table if you get bottle service. I haven't had to buy drinks here so can't comment on the price, but I can say that I've had fun the times I've been here. With any club, I recommend you look up who's DJing so there's no surprise with the music. As a general rule of thumb, Vessel has hip hop on fridays and house on saturdays. I prefer hip hop nights =)
