If I was spending one night in NY, this is where I would go.

A friend and I came here a while back because we heard rumors they served a tamarind margarita. Well, the rumors were false, so I had a pomegranate margarita instead. Nothing to write home about. Twelve dollars for guacamole? I don't think so. You can go to Dekalb Farmer's Market and get avocados, limes, onions, tomatoes, and cilantro for about six bucks, and make enough to feed your entire family. The fried plantains were good; I liked that they added queso fresco. However, there is FAR better Mexican food in town, for a lot cheaper. This is overpriced Mexican "fusion", for yuppie folks who are scared of eating the real thing. The atmosphere IS cool (especially the water fixture wall with all the figurines of cliff divers), but that's about the only redeeming factor.
