by E K. on It's tough for me to give this place such a low rating, because my friend bartends here (which means I get free drinks) and it's such a unique place. It's very roomy (large boat) with a big area for dancing... which means that the place has all the potential to be a solid 4 or 5 star bar... it's just that the crowd is always just BLEH. B&T galore and kids from da 'hood. Plus, the ever-so-slight rocking of the boat still makes me nauseous. I'll pass!
by Loan Mccurtis on I visited Cuba Libre in March for a meeting in their back room. The appetizers were mediocre but their mojitos were fabulous with loads of fresh mint!
by Prudence Yore on Listen Duvet, I understand you are trying to be all exclusive and stuck up, but your customers can give you as much attitude as you give them, if not more. We were running a bit late on reservations and made sure to call. They said it would not be a problem. Once we arrived we asked if we could wait at the bar for one more person and still be able to get a bed. Once again they said no problem. Soon after we went to the get bed. The place was half empty and they refused to give us one. As we started to leave all of a sudden a reservation was magically cancelled and we got a bed being told that that we have to be gone in 3 hours (so much for your 2 hour supposed limit). Oh also, either put some jelly fish in your tank or remove the false ad from your website. The only reason this place is getting 3 stars is because the drinks are divine. The sushi flight we ordered was spectacular, fresh and well presented. And sitting on a comfy firm bed while indulging in overpriced sushi is ultimate hedonims. So duvet...if you could just chill the attitude the way you do your drinks, you would be wonderful.
