This place is a diner turned into nightclub/lounge/outdoor drinking place. Went here on a thursday and hung out outside at the tables. Outside is AWESOME! the decor is friendly and it makes you want to have a good time. plenty of room for larger parties. they have a bar outside too. perfect summer drinking place!! the drinks were inexpensive (the specials and domestic beers) and the food was great. The food is kinda overpriced, however. The place is really cool tho. They got DJ's at night and it feels like a club in the evening.

Love this place for live music. Have always had to wait to get seated, but it has always been worth it and I have never had a bad time here. This is a great place in the Village to end a night of bar hopping and ring in the morning.

Oh, man, have you guys ever been to this place? It's gorgeous! The LA Stage Alliance had their annual Ovations Awards ceremony (sort of the theatrical equivalent of the Oscars) there last night, and while the Awards ceremony went on and on and on, as awards ceremonies tend to do, the venue was just eye-poppingly beautiful. Of course, it helped that there was a red carpet and klieg lights spinning around in front, and inside, everyone was all dressed up. But the old 1926 theatre has been beautifully restored, with lots of gold leaf and whatever you call those intricately designed domed ceilings, along with some beautiful lighting. When I saw the semi-sketchy address - Broadway, near 8th Street - I thought, WTF is down THERE? Well, apparently, it's the theatre where American Idol is shot. In fact, their crew was going to be moving in around 2 this morning, but even when we left, which FELT like 2 am, we saw no sign of Paula Abdul, though there was a parking lot guy who looked a little like a Latino Simon Cowell. They do music concerts, as well as a variety of other special events, so if you get a chance, you should definitely go - it's gawgeous!
